Evangelisch-Freikirchliche Gemeinde Berlin-Tempelhof K.d.ö.R.

The First Baptist Church in Berlin (Evangelical Free Church congregation Berlin-Tempelhof KdöR)has been founded in 1837 and is the first Baptist congregation in Berlin.

As a Baptist church we are part of the Union of Evangelical Free Churches in Germany.

Evangelical we call ourselves, because Jesus Christ should be the center of our lives. Only through him we are saved. Only the Bible gives us a reliable witness, who God is and what His will.

Free church we call ourselves, because we advocate the separation of church and state. We do not pay church tax, but are financed by donations from members and individual friends of the community.

Baptists we call ourselves after the English word for baptism "baptism". Member you will be with us through the baptism of faith. But people who want to live with Jesus and have confessed their faith in him before the congregation are baptized.
